Richard Thompson is the founder/lead writer of Mediaverse, an online resource for local journalism since 2006.

He has nearly 30 years of journalism experience as a business reporter and media observer. He is also a creative designer of books, websites, logos and other graphic arts. A longtime member and officer of the Memphis Association of Black Journalists, Thompson has been a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion to advance the methods of local reporting. A graduate of the University of Alabama and University of Memphis, he is married and has two daughters.
